September 2016: Turbine delivery dry-run complete

This September the project team and our turbine manufacturer Senvion carried out a turbine delivery dry-run at Freasdail.

The purpose of the dry-run was to ensure that the site access track had been constructed to a sufficient standard to allow the safe delivery of turbine components. Potential pinch points on-site (see picture below) were tested against all the requirements set by Senvion.

The picture below shows a low loader that has been extended to simulate a turbine blade delivery, turning into the site access track.
