Freasdail will be connected to the national grid via an underground 33 kV powerline to Crossaig substation, located approximately 11 km to the south of the wind farm.

Work to construct the grid connection will begin at the end of March. In order to access the land to the south of the wind farm vehicles will be required to travel along the B8001 towards Claonaig before heading south along the B842, additionally vehicles may also travel to the site by heading north along the B842 from Campbeltown.

Access to the grid connection works will be at three locations, Escart Farm, Alt Romain and Crossaig Substation.
